Industrial

This design trend emerged in the 1960s, essentially out of necessity. A defining feature of the style is that brick walls, pipes, and steel structures are left exposed — nothing is covered or boxed in. The use of weathered wood, leather, and concrete lends the interior a strong, masculine character.

Typical elements include spacious, high-ceilinged interiors with large arched windows and exposed support columns. The overall atmosphere can be softened with faux furs, soft cushions, and carefully chosen accents. Warm colors such as rust, green, or blue can also be incorporated. If plants are added, simple and low-maintenance varieties — such as cacti — are ideal.

The look can be enhanced with colored glass, vintage Persian rugs, or unique treasures found at flea markets, creating an inviting yet raw and characterful space.
